Internet Safety Risks
For Teens, Youth, and Children
Description: This age-appropriate version of Internet Safety Risks provides expert tips and engaging videos to help children, youth, teens, and those with intellectual disabilities stay safe online. The training addresses key issues such as online predators, cyberbullying, oversharing personal information, and sexting.
Curriculum is available for the following age groups:
- Children (5–9 years old): Sexting is not addressed unless specifically requested.
- Pre-teens (10–12 years old)
- Teenagers (13–17 years old)
- Youth and young adults with intellectual disabilities
Training Information
Time: 30 – 90 minutes in length
Location: Requested Organization/School Site
Cost: $40 fee per hour (due before or on the day of training)

Description: This innovative presentation uses the latest statistics, online resources, videos, and expert insights to educate, engage, and empower professionals and parents about online safety for children, youth, and teens. Participants receive practical safety tips, including information on dangerous apps and technological tools that help monitor and reduce online safety risks listed below:
- Cyberbullying: Hurtful messages, social exclusion, rumors
- Online Predators: Strangers pretending to be friends
- Privacy Breaches: Sharing too much personal information
- Inappropriate Content: Violence, pornography, hate speech
- Sexting: Sending/receiving explicit messages or images
- Sextortion: Extorting money or sexual favors from someone
by threatening to reveal evidence of their sexual activity. - Addiction and Screen Time: Impact on mental health and sleep
Teen Slang: Can appear innocent but may be dangerous!!
