FCCAP’s 5 Objectives

  1. Provide a forum for interagency cooperation/coordination in prevention, detection, treatment & legal processing of child abuse cases.
  2. Promote public awareness of the abuse and neglect of children and the resources available for intervention and treatment.
  3. Encourage and facilitate training of professionals in the detection, treatment, and prevention of child abuse and neglect.
  4. Recommend improvements in services to families and victims.
  5. Encourage and facilitate community support for child abuse and neglect programs.

FCCAP accomplishes our mission by:

Advocating

for more support for primary prevention programs.

Providing

a forum for interagency coordination in the prevention, detection, treatment, and legal processing of child abuse cases.

Coordinates

quarterly Round Tables regarding current “hot topics” in child maltreatment.

Collaborates

with primary prevention partners annually for an April Convening structured around education.

Educates

professionals, regular volunteers, parents, teens, youth, and children on current child maltreatment trends and prevention topics. See our resources.
